Note: All Courses must be completed
to qualify for Professional membership in C.I.D. Students may apply
for associate membership. Grandfathering (by experience)
without education is not acceptable for C.I.D. membership.
To become a "Certified Interior Decorator" requires
the following three steps:
- Completion of a C.I.D. approved program
- Passing C.I.D. entrance exam
- Joining C.I.D. as a professional member
Professional C.I.D. members are entitled
to use the C.I.D. letters after their individual name. No
other letters or designation can be used with C.I.D.
Apart from Certified Interior Decorators
International, Inc. (C.I.D.) an individual cannot be considered
as a "Certified Interior Decorator". The concept
and idea to certify interior decorators belongs to the founder
of C.I.D. The term: Certified Interior Decorator and the
appellation C.I.D. is a registered Service Mark filed by
Certified Interior Decorators International, Inc. in the
United States Patent and Trademark Office in Washington,
D.C.
